Obviously, big fat spoilers all through season 4 coming up, so don't read this ,if you haven't seen it.
That being said> I loved the trilogy, really did, however:
ARE YOU BLOODY SHITTING ME!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Best companion's mind whiped - and I mean WHIPED! Most important woman in the Universe (and most hilarious mate a timelord could have) back to being a temp Chiswick? No. WAY!
Andandandandand AND! All my shippy ambitions sort of... imploded in themselves in such a mindblowing, crafty way, that really I'd applaud these guys if I weren't so angry, except I'm not really, so tip of the hat except:
Poor, pathetic blasted little Doctor all on his own again. It is just not fair. I'm sorry., Doesn't he ever get anything? Yes, I know this is how this character works, tragic and all, but COME OAN! Really - I repeat: not fair. Also: still baffled by that final beach scene because: the moment Rose and Doctor 2.0 kissed, all the shippy anticipation went "pppft* like a very sad three day-old birthday balloon. Seriously? No, SERIOUSLY?!?! It's closure... except it's not, because, weelllllll, it stinks to be the Doctor. The actual, non-part-human one. Except that that guy IS the Doctor, only missed a heart and a TARDIS. You see? Mind imploding.
Going to bed now. Must sleep on this.
`Am totally watching on, because I love the Doctor, but if they think I'm looking forward to meetin River smug-plot-device Song again, they are soooooo wrong.
I've just been manhandled by my new fandom. Except it felt good. Does that make this an abusive relationship? I thought I'd had enough of that sort with my years of X Files...
If you dig Journey's End, you might dig the specials. For one thing, it has the Master in a hoodie, and that's worth the price of admission.
Buuut
You haven't seen the 2009 Xmas special yet, eh?
(Actually don't. You'll cry, if you love David Tennant as I do.)
Journey's End was the most tragic thing ever! It makes me wanna cry just thinking about it... /sniffs somewhere in the corner/
